Tom Ryan joined Pettinelli Financial Partners in 2025 as Chief Operations Officer, bringing over 30 years of experience in organizational operations, brand management, customer service, M&A execution, process optimization, and staff development. In his role, Tom oversees the firm’s day-to-day operations and is responsible for ensuring that all client-facing operational transactions are delivered with consistency, precision, and care.
With a respected track record of leading successful operational strategies across a variety of industries—including pivotal roles at companies such as Amdahl Corporation, Oracle, Illustra, Informix, Actuate, SuccessFactors, Okta, and NTT Security Holdings—Tom brings a disciplined, client-centric perspective to Pettinelli Financial Partners. His leadership focuses on aligning systems, improving operational efficiency, and elevating service quality through technology integration and cybersecurity readiness.
As COO, Tom leads the charge in establishing key performance metrics, streamlining processes, and ensuring functional alignment across all departments. Above all, he is deeply committed to empowering PFP’s employees, fostering an environment where team members are supported in reaching their full potential. His ultimate goal is to enhance the firm's mission of helping clients realize their life ambitions through personalized and strategic financial guidance.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from San Francisco State University and a Master of Business Administration in International Management from the College of Notre Dame. He resides in San Carlos, California, with his wife Lorelei, and is the proud father of Molly, Katie, and Carl. Outside of work, he enjoys handball, weightlifting, and swimming.
