Ryan Callan

Paraplanner

Ryan Callan joined Pettinelli Financial Partners (PFP) in 2021 as a paraplanner following his graduation from California State University, Chico, with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance. He first started his financial career with PFP as an intern in 2018 after completing his freshman year of college. He continued to work with the firm during school breaks. Shortly after graduation, PFP invited Ryan to join the financial service firm full time.

As a paraplanner, Ryan focuses on supporting the firm’s advisor teams with building financial plans, providing exceptional client contact, service, and follow-up, as well as assisting the teams with research. He was particularly drawn to joining PFP because of the firm’s emphasis on teamwork and his belief that working together makes an organization stronger. Ryan currently holds his SIE, FINRA Series 7, FINRA Series 66, and recently acquired his CA Life and Health license (CA License #4231874).

In addition to working in financial services, Ryan has experience in customer service through his employment with Northern Star Mills, a Chico, historic feed, agriculture, and gardening center established in 1898.  He also served as a junior counselor at a summer youth computer programming camp that focused on robotics.  During the COVID pandemic, Ryan volunteered for the San Carlos Second Harvest Food Bank as a delivery specialist to ensure that food supplies were received by people in need.

A native of San Carlos, Ryan enjoys getting out in the Pacific Ocean, surfing his longboard, body surfing shore breakers, and open water swimming. When he is not surfing, Ryan spends time with his close family and exploring the Bay Area with his friends. A quote that resonates with Ryan is, “It is important to draw wisdom from many different places. If we take it from only one place, it becomes rigid and stale.”                – General Iroh
