John Mathews is a paraplanner with Pettinelli Financial Partners supporting the firm’s advisory teams with building client contact, meeting preparation and follow up. A graduate of Santa Clara University with a BS in Finance and a Minor in Economics, he also has experience working with venture capital firms especially related to research and due diligence around new technologies. In addition, he participated in an internship with a large financial services firm collaborating with finance professionals on the Capital Markets Trading Floor.
Joining Pettinelli Financial Partners in March of 2019, John wanted to use his financial education and background in a way to help and guide more people. He was attracted to the team approach that the firm takes to serving and delivering financial guidance to its clients and is thrilled to be part of an organization with such a strong and knowledgeable team.
John grew up in St. Louis, MO. After graduation, he decided to remain in Santa Clara to pursue his career in financial services. As a pitcher throughout high school, it’s no wonder that he’s a true baseball fan and has traveled to 29 out of 30 national baseball stadiums. He’s also committed to community service after various opportunities in helping adults in an Immigration and Citizenship Program in San Jose, tutoring inner city students in St. Louis, initiating a program that donated over 1200 books to prisoners, and serving at a charity soup kitchen.
